Description: Once a thriving Mississippian (1050-1450) town along the Ohio River, the area now known as Angel Mounds State Historic Site focuses on the culture of this abandoned community, the science and history of archaeology, and the natural areas of the 603-acre site.

The first car used by a president was a Cole made in Indianapolis in which William Howard Taft rode to state occasions.
