The site is open all year.
April through November, the Gift Shop and guided tours are available Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
December through March, the Gift Shop and guided cabin tours are available Tuesday through Saturday. Tours of Porter's cabin are given at regular intervals. The grounds are open dawn to dusk year-round.

Monday, Veterans Day, Primary Election Day, Election Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter, and Columbus Day
