Afternoon Tea

The L.S. Ayres Tea Room offers Afternoon Tea on Sundays from 2 until 4:30 p.m. The cost is $9.95 per adult and $3.95 for children. Teas feature an assortmment of tea sandwiches includ smoked salmon with cream cheese, chicken salad on a croissant, salami with a stone ground mustard, cucumber with a walnut cream cheese and egg salad on white bread. An assortment of petit fors and baked scones is also offered. Peanut butter and jelly and grilled cheese sandwiches are available for children.  The Tea Room serves a variety Bigelow Teas as well as soft drinks and coffee.

The first ice shaving machine for making snow cones was invented by Frank Thomas in 1925.
