The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission is a fact-finding body that hears evidence in cases filed before it and makes decisions based on the evidence presented in those cases. An advocate of neither the public nor the utilities, the IURC is required by state statute to make decisions that balance the interests of all parties to ensure the utilities provide adequate and reliable service at reasonable prices.

IURC Releases 2014 Annual Report and 2014 Water Utility Resource Report

The Annual Report provides an overview of the agency's work over the past fiscal year and the changes in each utility industry over which it has jurisdiction, as well as summarize recent legislation and its impact on the agency and the utilities it regulates. The Water Utility Resource Report, required by Ind. Code 8-1-30.5, is intended to assist in better understanding the strengths and challenges facing water utilities and is based on data collected from Indiana's water utilities and other state agencies. Information about the industry as a whole, data analysis, and specific recommendations are included.
