2012 Annual Conference: Getting Kids to Home Plate

The Indiana State Office of GAL/CASA will be hosting its 16th Annual GAL/CASA conference, “Getting Kids to Home Plate” at the Indianapolis Marriott East on Saturday, October 13, 2012. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Jaiya John, founder of Soul Water Rising, a global human mission based in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Training for Attorney GAL Representing Children in Juvenile Court

The Indiana Supreme Court, Division of State Court Administration, through its State Office of GAL/CASA, in collaboration with the Department of Child Services, will be presenting training for attorney GAL serving in child abuse and neglect and delinquency cases.  As of July 1, 2012, attorneys serving as GAL in juvenile court must complete training on the topics of the identification and treatment of child abuse and neglect, and early childhood and adolescent development.
