Every year, the Division of State Court Administration and the Indiana Judicial Center provide grants or reimbursements to Indiana counties for special projects and the daily work of the judicial system. GAL/CASA Grants(STAD) To recruit, train and supervise community volunteers who make recommendations to the court on behalf of children who need a voice, and help them through the child welfare system. $8,863,526 distributed to 71 counties

Family Court Grants (STAD) To provide funds to courts to develop pilot programs to better serve children and families in the court system, with an emphasis on developing models to coordinate multiple cases involving the same family. $885,100 distributed to 26 counties

Drug Court Grants (IJC) To provide counties funds to establish and maintain drug courts which provide offenders access to comprehensive treatment and ancillary services while under the supervision of the drug court judge. $463,539 distributed to 25 counties

Re-Entry Court Grants (IJC) To provide offenders released from the Department of Correction access to comprehensive, wrap-around services for a minimum of one year to promote their successful reintegration into the community. $73,100 distributed to 6 counties

Public Defender Capital Case and Non-Capital Case Reimbursement Program (STAD) To provide all 92 counties potential reimbursement from the Public Defense Fund for 50% of capital defense expenses and up to 40% of non-capital expenses. $52,620,149 distributed to 12 counties

for Non-capital programs from 2007 to 2010.
