ORDER APPOINTING SENIOR JUDGE
The
Judge of the Jasper Circuit Court requested the appointment of Senior Judge
Richard W. Maroc for service in that court through December 31, 2003, pursuant
to Ind.Code §33-4-8-1.
We now
find that the Jasper Circuit Court had a weighted caseload statistic of 1.97
during 2002, above the level needed for appointment of a senior judge absent
extraordinary circumstances warranting appointment of a senior judge. Having met the minimum caseload requirement
during 2002, we find that the appointment of Senior Judge Maroc is appropriate
until December 31, 2003.
IT IS,
THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Honorable Richard W. Maroc is appointed as a senior
judge in the Jasper Circuit Court effective September 15, 2003, through
December 31, 2003. Pursuant to Ind.Code
§33-4-8-5, the Honorable Richard W. Maroc may not be compensated as senior
judge for more than one hundred (100) days in the aggregate during this
calendar year.
The
Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this order to
the Honorable E. Duane Daugherty, Judge of the Jasper Circuit Court; to the
Honorable Richard W. Maroc; to the clerk of the Jasper Circuit Court for entry
in the Record of Judgments and Orders; to the Indiana Judicial Center; and to
the Division of State Court Administration, Payroll Section.
