ORDER APPOINTING SENIOR JUDGE

The Judge of the Madison Superior Court 3 requested the appointment of Senior Judge Stephen D. Clase for service in that court for the remainder of the 2003 calendar year, pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-1.

We now find that the Madison Superior Court 3 has demonstrated sufficient circumstances, which warrants the appointment of a senior judge.  We find further that the Honorable Stephen D. Clase has been certified for senior judge service by the Judicial Qualifications Commission for the 2003 calendar year.  We find that the appointment of Senior Judge Clase is appropriate until December 31, 2003. 

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Honorable Stephen D. Clase is appointed as a senior judge in the Madison Superior Court 3 from the date of this order through December 31, 2003.  Pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-5, the Honorable Stephen D. Clase may not be compensated as senior judge for more than one hundred (100) days in the aggregate during this calendar year.

The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this order to the Honorable Thomas Newman, Jr., Judge of the Madison Superior Court 3; to the Honorable Stephen D. Clase; to the clerk of the Madison Superior Court for entry in the Record of Judgments and Orders; to the Indiana Judicial Center; and to the Division of State Court Administration, Payroll Section.
