ORDER APPOINTING SENIOR JUDGE

The Judge of the Madison County Court 1 requested the appointment of Senior Judge Tom D. Diller for service in that court for the remainder of the 2003 calendar year, pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-1.

We now find that the Madison County Court 1 has demonstrated sufficient circumstances warranting the appointment of a senior judge.  We find further that the Honorable Tom D. Diller has been certified for senior judge service by the Judicial Qualifications Commission for the 2003 calendar year.  We find that the appointment of Senior Judge Diller is appropriate until December 31, 2003. 

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Honorable Tom D. Diller is appointed as a senior judge in the Madison County Court 1 effective from October 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003.  Pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-5, the Honorable Tom D. Diller may not be compensated as senior judge for more than one hundred (100) days in the aggregate during this calendar year.

The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this order to the Honorable David W. Hopper, Judge of the Madison County Court 1; to the Honorable Tom D. Diller; to the clerk of the Madison County Court for entry in the Record of Judgments and Orders; to the Indiana Judicial Center; and to the Division of State Court Administration, Payroll Section.
