TIPPECANOE CIRCUIT COURT )
ORDER APPOINTING SENIOR JUDGE
The Judge of the Tippecanoe Circuit Court requested the appointment of Senior Judge Carl E. Van Dorn for service in that court effective July 22, 2003, for the remainder of the 2003 calendar year, pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-1.
We now find that the Tippecanoe Circuit Court had a weighted caseload statistic of 1.20 during 2002, which warrants the appointment of a senior judge. We find further that the Honorable Carl E. Van Dorn has been certified for senior judge service by the Judicial Qualifications Commission. Having exceeded the minimum caseload requirement during 2002, we find that the appointment of Senior Judge Van Dorn is appropriate until December 31, 2003.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Honorable Carl E. Van Dorn is appointed as a senior judge in the Tippecanoe Circuit Court effective July 22, 2003, through December 31, 2003. Pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-5, the Honorable Carl E. Van Dorn may not be compensated as senior judge for more than one hundred (100) days in the aggregate during this calendar year.
The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this order to the Honorable Donald L. Daniel, Judge of the Tippecanoe Circuit Court; to the Honorable Carl E. Van Dorn; to the clerk of the Tippecanoe Court for entry in the Record of Judgments and Orders; to the Indiana Judicial Center; and to the Division of State Court Administration, Payroll Section.
DONE at Indianapolis, Indiana this ________ day of July, 2003.
