ORDER APPOINTING SENIOR JUDGE

The Judge of the Miami Superior Court requested the appointment of Senior Judge Dennis H. Parry for service in that court for the remainder of the 2003 calendar year, pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-1.

We now find that the Miami Superior Court had a weighted caseload statistic of 1.53 during 2002, which warrants the appointment of a senior judge.  We find further that the Honorable Dennis H. Parry has been certified for senior judge service by the Judicial Qualifications Commission.  Having exceeded the minimum caseload requirement during 2002, we find that the appointment of Senior Judge Parry is appropriate until December 31, 2003. 

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Honorable Dennis H. Parry is appointed as a senior judge in the Miami Superior Court from the date of this order through December 31, 2003.  Pursuant to Ind.Code §33-4-8-5, the Honorable Dennis H. Parry may not be compensated as senior judge for more than one hundred (100) days in the aggregate during this calendar year.

The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this order to the Honorable Daniel C. Banina, Judge of the Miami Superior Court; to the Honorable Dennis H. Parry; to the clerk of the Miami Superior Court for entry in the Record of Judgments and Orders; to the Indiana Judicial Center; and to the Division of State Court Administration, Payroll Section.
