ORDER APPOINTING SENIOR JUDGE

The Judge of the Union Circuit Court has requested the appointment of a senior judge for service in that court, pursuant to Ind.Code § 33-4-8-1, so that the Judge of the Union Circuit Court can attend and participate in Supreme Court Judicial Technology and Automation Committee (JTAC) meetings for the development of a statewide case management system. 

We now find that the Union Circuit Court has demonstrated circumstances warranting the appointment of a senior judge.

IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED that the Honorable Eugene A. Stewart is appointed as a senior judge in the Union Circuit Court to serve during the absence of the regular judge from his duties due to his participation in the JTAC project, until December 31, 2003. Pursuant to Ind. Code § 33-4-8-5, the Honorable Eugene A. Stewart  may not be compensated as senior judge for more than one hundred (100) days in the aggregate during this calendar year.

The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a certified copy of this order to the Honorable James Williams, Judge of the Union Circuit Court; to the Honorable Eugene A. Stewart; to the Clerk of the Union Circuit Court for entry in the Record of Judgments and Orders; to the Indiana Judicial Center; and to the Division of State Court Administration, Payroll Section.
