Welcome to the official site of Indiana State Senate District 40. First elected in 2012, State Senator Mark Stoops represents the district in the Indiana General Assembly. Senate District 40 encompasses the majority of Monroe County and includes the Indiana University-Bloomington campus.

Nov. 20, 2012:  The 118^th General Assembly convenes for Organization Day.
Jan. 7, 2013:     The 2013 legislative session begins.
Jan. 11, 2013:   Bill filing deadline for the 2013 session.
Apr. 29, 2013:   Sine Die. The 2013 session ends.
