November 1, 2011 - The Lt. Governor’s Leadership Luncheon for the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, held today in Indianapolis, raised $231,735. Lt. Governor Becky Skillman also accepted the Girl Scouts’ top honor, the Making the World a Better Place award.

In Case You Missed It - Lt. Governor Touts Major Moves
November 10, 2010 - Lt. Governor Becky Skillman spoke at the Associated Equipment Distributors annual meeting in Chicago on September 16. She discussed Major Moves, the state’s efficient management of stimulus dollars, and Indiana’s overall business climate. Last week, “Better Roads” columnist Mike Anderson wrote, “For folks who collectively have weathered the toughest business climate of their lives, [Lt. Gov. Skillman’s] message about what’s happening in her state, Indiana, was particularly appetizing.”

February 24, 2010 - The Illinois General Assembly is currently considering a proposition that would abolish the position of Lieutenant Governor in the state of Illinois. The Illinois position is currently vacant, has no constitutional duties, and has few statutory duties. By contrast, recent reports say Indiana’s Lt. Governor is the nation’s most active.
