Lt. Governor Skillman is leading a delegation of Hoosier business and community leaders on a jobs and investment mission to Japan on September 21-28, 2011.
Lt. Governor Skillman is making stops in Tokyo, Ohta City, Nagoya, and Tochigi Prefecture to promote Indiana’s economy, resources, and products. Indiana’s largest Asian trade partner is Japan. Also, 216 Japanese companies in Indiana employ 38,460 Hoosiers.
A delegation from the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, a state agency that Lt. Governor Skillman oversees, will also be visiting China in September. The costs of the trade missions are being covered entirely through private donations.
