A new round of funding for Indiana commercial or industrial facilities planning energy efficiency upgrades to existing facilities. The Conserving Hoosier Industrial Power (CHIP) program provides grants from $100,000 to $500,000 to help pay for large-scale energy efficiency upgrades or retrofits.
In order to be considered for a CHIP grant, the proposed project must be located in Indiana, and demonstrate measurable improvements in energy efficiency, result in a reduction in energy demand, or implement an energy recycling process. Eligible project technologies include: lighting, lighting controls/sensors, chillers, furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, building insulation, windows, doors, energy management systems/controls, energy efficient compressed air, pumps and motors.
