Duke Energy Efficiency Plans

The OUCC's website offers an overview of energy efficiency cases including the agency's role.

Previous plans for Duke Energy received IURC approval in December 2014, December 2015, March 2016, and December 2017.

  • Current Plan

    Duke Energy has received approval of an energy efficiency plan for 2020 through 2023 in IURC Cause No. 43955 - DSM 8. The OUCC filed testimony (Haselden and Loveman) in March 2020 and its closing argument in October.

  • Proposed Plan

    Duke Energy Indiana has filed a new energy efficiency plan for 2024 through 2026 in IURC Cause No. 45803. The OUCC filed testimony (Haselden & Latham) on Feb. 9, 2023.

    • The plan includes a program budget of approximately $180,198,406 over the course of 3 years.
    • The plan proposes energy efficiency and demand response programs to non-residential and residential customer classes which includes:
      • Low-income programs
      • Existing programs
      • New demand response program
    • The goal for the energy efficiency plan is to achieve an average of 1.15% of energy savings each year over the 3 year period.
