Pike County - At approximately 1:30 this afternoon, Indiana State Police Detective Tobias Odom arrested Luke A. Musselwhite, 26, of Jasper, after an investigation revealed he had disseminated harmful material to a female student while teaching at Pike Central High School during 2007. Musselwhite resigned from his teaching position just prior to the start of this school year.
During the investigation, Detective Odom revealed that during October and November 2007, Musselwhite allegedly sent over 200 text messages to the 17-year-old Pike Central High School student. Several of the text messages sent to the female student were sexual in nature.
Musselwhite was arrested after he turned himself in at the Pike County Jail. He was released after posting a $2,500 cash bond.
