Brooklyn- Indiana State Police Detective Brian Maudlin arrested Mickey N. Michaud, 18, of Brooklyn and charged him with the August 3rd, 2008 burglary of the Brooklyn Police Department. A sixteen year old male juvenile was also charged in connection with the case.
Indiana State Police were called to the police department on August 3rd after the burglary was discovered. An inventory of stolen items included two safes, five handguns, and a small amount of money.
During the investigation Maudlin and Mooresville Police Officer Brad Yarnell obtained information on the whereabouts of the stolen items at a residence in Brooklyn. Officers were able to recover all of the items except the money.
With the recovery of the stolen items and further investigation, officers were able to identify Michaud and the juvenile as suspects.
Michaud was arrested on a warrant without incident at his residence on August 26th, 2008 and transported to the Morgan County Jail. The juvenile was issued a summons to appear in court for the charge of juvenile delinquency.
