WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Fort Wayne District announces that S.R. 9 and S.R. 205 was closed today, Friday, August 21, to remove and replace the track structure and crossing surface at the Chicago, Fort Wayne & Eastern railroad crossing in Columbia City.
The detour is Line Street to Van Buren Street; this route adds 0.2 mile for thru traffic.
Repair work is expected to be complete with the closure lifted by 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 24. The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
