Design work is underway for rehabilitation and upgrade of the Greensburg Reservoir dam to enable it to fully meet current dam safety standards. 

The DNR Division of Engineering expects this work to be completed by next summer.

The schedule for construction work depends on availability of funds for the project.
As a precaution, due to recent storm damage, the reservoir has been drained until the upgrade can be completed.

The Greensburg Public Fishing Area remains closed. The fishing area is a 23-acre impoundment located approximately 1 mile west of Greensburg in Decatur County. The DNR purchased the reservoir in 1961.
