STATEHOUSE (Feb. 4, 2010) - State Sen. Randy Head (R-Logansport) will hold an innovative town meeting February 10 by utilizing his Facebook page as a virtual meeting place for citizens from District 18.
Head said he will be available to address questions from the public live on the Internet via his Facebook page from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10.
"By providing an easily-accessible forum for feedback, like Facebook, I hope more citizens can be involved in their state government," Head said. "This opportunity will allow area Hoosiers to submit their own questions and receive direct responses in real time."
Users can login or create their own accounts at www.facebook.com. Those who are currently friends with Head on Facebook can visit his wall and begin posting questions during the meeting. Hoosiers new to Facebook can search for "Randall Head," and add him as a friend to begin posting questions.
"Citizens can ask any questions and raise any issues they would like to bring forward," Head said. "They will drive the conversation."
