Indiana Secretary of State Jerold A. Bonnet

Secretary of State, Deputy Chief of Staff & Chief Legal Counsel

A native of Yorktown Indiana, Jerry spent 18 years practicing commercial law in Texas and Louisiana. Bonnet holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University, a law degree from the University of Tennessee, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans, and a Masters in International Business and Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.  He lives in Indianapolis with his wife Monica and children Jeffrey, Rachael and Gabriel.

On February 4, 2012, Governor Mitch Daniels proceeded to appoint Jerold Bonnet to the post of Secretary of State on an interim basis.  Secretary of State Oath of Office, Office of Governor
