Thank you for your interest in the communications internship program at the Office of the Indiana Secretary of State. The Secretary of State is excited and proud when young Hoosiers take an interest in their government. She applauds those who choose to take an active role in continuing to make Indiana a national leader in election reform, business services and Hoosier financial investment protection.
This communications internship is a great opportunity to strengthen your writing skills and build a strong portfolio. Candidates will write on a daily basis in many formats, including: press releases, business, persuasive, journalistic and online writing. Candidates may get the opportunity to travel around the state and attend executive meetings. Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced environment while keeping a professional attitude and work ethic, as well as remain dexterous under pressure. At least three recent writing samples and three school or professional references must be submitted as required materials for application.
