In 2007, the Indiana General Assembly adopted House Bill 1425, a bill that made changes to the abandoned vehicle process in Indiana. Following the July 1st effective date of this legislation, the Abandoned Vehicles Division of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles will cease to conduct sales of abandoned vehicles.
